One of the most talked-about games at E3 2012 was UbiSoft’s Watch Dogs, which was an incredible looking open world game that takes its inspiration from techno-thriller spy movies, with remote hacking and dark, rainy city streets.
The game also has a cause-and-effect system that seems to show the consequences of your actions. For example, causing a multiple car pileup to stop your target is directly responsible for the deaths of innocent bystanders, as portrayed by the sobbing man you pull from his car who was trying to resuscitate his dead girlfriend or wife.
The game also features the best graphics yet for any game, much less a open world sandbox game, from the character animations to the realistic rainfall. Watch Dogs just looks better than anything out there.
Ubisoft released the full demo from its E3 2012 presentation on YouTube. Check it out in the video above and let us know what you think. While it’s hard to give Game of Show to a game demo, it’s easy to see why it won.
One has to wonder if this game will truly be next gen – as in released for the Xbox 720 and PlayStation 4, not the 360 and PS3. “Check it out in the video above and let us know what you think.”
