I know we have hit you with a ton of movie trailers today, but this flick looks amazing. The lovely Mila Kunis is in an action sci-fi flick called Jupiter Ascending and it looks great.
From what I am getting from the trailer it looks very David Lynch inspired, a nod to the epic film Dune. There seems to be a royal hierarchy pushing for economic dominance in the universe. This push ultimately causes a war, sound familiar.
Despite my correlation to subplots of Lynch’s magnum opus, these are two entirely different films. Jupiter Ascending seems to be more ambitious in scope than the aforementioned film. Checkout the grandiose sets and awe inspiring open space shots.
Jupiter Ascending was written and directed by brother and sister team, Andy and Lana Wachowski, the duo that brought us the Matrix Trilogy. Hopefully this makes up for Speed Racer. Jupiter Ascending hits theaters on its July 25, 2014 (USA) release date.
