Fans of Asian cuisine in Boston have a new have been given a Christmas present this year. Rostip Thai Restaurant has just opened in the city of Dracut, MA bordering New Hampshire in the Merrimack Valley.
Rostip Thai has a very simple and cozy atmosphere. You get the felling you are eating in someone’s home dining room. The staff is phenomenal – friendly, courteous and ready to suggest some of the restaurant’s signature dishes.
The appetizers were a perfect 10. The chicken satay was generous, plump and moist. The satay was served with a smooth and creamy peanut sauce. The peanut sauce is not overly sweet or thin; it has the perfect amount of coconut milk in it. Rostip Thai’s peanut sauce is also great for dipping their Thai rolls. Once again these appetizers are generous with crisp flaky wrappers and fresh fillings.
For entrees I sampled the Fancy Chicken, Chicken Pad Thai and Beef & Broccoli. The fancy chicken is a pan fried Thai dish served in a half pineapple. It has a great balance of sweet and spicy. The vegetables were crisp and fresh, the brown sauce for the Fancy Chicken is delicious.
Large tender slices of meat are the foundation of Rostip Thai’s Beef & Broccoli. The sauce is light in body and full in flavor. It is especially good drizzled over the fresh jasmine rice that accompanies the meal.
The Chicken Pad Thai is the best I have ever had. Let me say this once again Chicken Pad Thai is the best I have ever had. The noodles are freshly cooked and lightly seasoned. The dish is finished off with thumb sized chunks of tender chicken.
This is a huge win for New Englanders with a taste for Asian cuisine. This is hands down the best Thai food I have had in the Merrimack Valley, maybe even all of Massachusetts.
Rostip Thai Restaurant is located in the now closed Thai House near the Lowell border in Dracut at 7 Broadway Road, Dracut MA 01826.
