Videogames Blogger has a jump on where to find all 42 intels in Call of Duty: Black Ops, for completionists who want to get that “Closer Analyst” Achievement/Trophy. Wii completionists, of course, are just doing it for the honor, since the console has no Achievement or Trophy system. The PC version is not Live for Windows, so this would be just for the honor for PC owners as well.
If you happen to die after just collecting an Intel, it will automatically be saved so you will not need to return to collect it again. You can also save and quit at anytime during a mission once you have collected them if you are revisiting missions to collect any you may of missed.
