In what is already being spun as a racist incident. A white girl was viciously assaulted and beaten by 2 black girls at a Baltimore McDonalds. Personally I don’t think the incident is an indication of race or safety at McDonalds…it is all about Baltimore.
Baltimore as you know is a hotbed for violence. It served as the backdrop for the violence filled HBO drug drama The Wire. I would imagine assaults of this nature occur in Baltimore on a daily basis. Still that does not make this right. I am sure there are plenty of great people in Baltimore…these girls are animals.
From McDonald’s – Our Concern Regarding the Baltimore Incident: We are shocked by the video from a Baltimore franchised restaurant showing an assault. This incident is unacceptable, disturbing and troubling. McDonald’s strives to be a safe, welcoming environment for everyone who visits. Nothing is more important to us than the safety of customers and employees in our restaurants. We are working with the franchisee and the local authorities to investigate this matter.
What makes this more troubling is the fact none of the McDonalds employees help this woman. The brutal beating goes on for 3 minutes. After being struck in the head multiple times with feet and fists the victim seems to have a seizure. That is when the beating finally stops.
