There may be an NBA lockout, but that won’t stop 2K Sports from releasing the next version of their popular b-ball game, NBA 2K12 on October 4, 2011.
With the lockout threatening the NBA season, it’s easy to see how 2K Sports plans to combat it – focus on the legends. As such, there will be three different covers for NBA 2K12, one with last year’s cover athlete Michael Jordan, and now joined by Magic Johnson and Larry Bird.If there is no season, it’ll be interesting to see what the content will be, since last year’s game uploaded NBA stats to affect players. Does this also mean you’ll be able to put yourself in the careers of Bird and Johnson as players did with Jordan in NBA 2K11? It seems likely.
