The common opinion is that the fans are the only losers, but I’d have to disagree… the 2011 NFL Draft class took a major hit with the new rookie wage scale. This year’s first overall pick, Cam Newton, will get a contract of a value less than half of that of last year’s top pick, Sam Bradford.
