NFL Lockout Update: It’s Over, Free Agency Begins, Now Win Some Prizes

The cry baby millionaires and billionaires finally settled their squabble over a few nickels and the 2011 NFL Football offseason is back on track with free agency starting on Tuesday. The common opinion is that the fans are the only losers, but I’d have to disagree… the 2011 NFL Draft class took a major hit with the new rookie wage scale. This year’s first overall pick, Cam Newton, will get a contract of a value less than half of that of last year’s top pick, Sam Bradford.

Don’t worry, I think they’ll be OK.

You could actually earn some great prizes at the expense of the entire 2011 first round. How? In the TMR Zoo First Picked/Last Signed Contest. All you have to do is guess who the very last player picked in the first round of the 2011 draft, will agree to terms with their team. Will it be harder this year with the new rules? Easier? Start making your guesses now and find out while having some fun in the process.

Once you have made your choice, you could call it a day and wait until there is only one first rounder unsigned… OR, you can come back tomorrow, and every day until the contest closes, to submit your entry again.

That is correct, you can enter EVERY day until there is only one unsigned draft pick remaining. How you wish to enter the contest is your choice. If you think you know exactly who will be the biggest pain in the ass, you can stack the deck and pick the same player every day during the entry period, or you can can try every player still unsigned each day until the end date. Once there is only one unsigned draft pick remaining, we will pull all of the correct entries out of the pool and select an entry at random as the winner. The strategy is yours to decide.
