Spy vs. Spy: Summer Sunglass Round Up

A great pair of sunglasses can make you look cool as hell. Radical frames, colors, and funky lenses give the world a clue to your personality. No brand gives you the option to tailor their brand to your personality the way Spy does.

When first looking at the Spy site I was impressed by the amount of options and styles available. When you click through to a pair of glasses that fit your style, you are hit with a spectrum of color and lens options for that particular style.

Spy has all of the frame options that are hot this year. Exaggerated tortoise shells, urban hipster black styles, cool aviators, and even Real Tree camouflage frames. Case in point I decided to review a pair of Spy’s Cooper frames.

The Coopers are a retro style that reminds me of something you would have seen on Lou Reed back in the day. They have a sturdy design with upgraded hinges; these glasses are solid. The cool thing about the Cooper style glasses is they come in seven color and lens options. A pair of the black Coopers with polarizes lens were selected for review.

The first thing one will notice when putting on a pair of Spy’s is the comfort of the fit. The glasses fit snugly and securely on the head, never tight. The polarized lenses are clear and crisp. The Coopers wrap style is sharp and draw compliments every time they are worn.

The Carbine is another hip style with a single lens across the front of the glasses. I like the goggle-like feel of these shades, they are perfect as a sport shade. Like the Coopers, they have a solid feel and the Spy + silver logo pops on the side of the frames. These are now my go to glasses for playing softball on sunny days or taking a spin on the jet ski.

Every pair of Spy’s I tried was light and stylish with amazing lenses. One pair thou seemed to turn heads everywhere they were worn are the McCoys. I gave a pair of the McCoys a try in matte white. The McCoys come in nine different color/lens combinations including Real Tree for you sports men. Like the Coopers the McCoys have the heavy duty metal hinge. These glasses are sharp and stylish with the Spy + logo in black on the side.

Spy also makes excellent ski goggles and moto goggles in many style and color options. There is something for everyone in their product line. Spy has great shades for women, men, athletes, and hipsters all quality and all realistically priced. These are high-end quality sunglasses that are easy on your wallet.
