I am guessing this is not the first time this recipe has been done. Still, this is my spin on it. I have been obsessing on making bacon muffins for a while now, kicking around recipes in my head. Today I took my ideas to the kitchen and eureka a new staple for my infamous hung-over brunches has been born.
Not only are these muffins incredibly easy to make but they have bacon in them. You can never go wrong with bacon.
Bacon Maple Muffins
2- 1/4 c. Bisquick
1 egg
1/3 c. real maple syrup
2/3 c. milk
2 tbsp. vegetable oil
1/3 cup of Hormel Real Bacon Bits (or comparable brand)
Add bacon bits and stir in. Bake at 400 degrees until a toothpick comes out of the muffins clean, about 15 to 18 minutes. Remove the muffins from the pan and place on a rack to cool for a few minutes.
