Happened a year too late. They just extended him before last season, so they still have to pay him like $13M to walk away. The Panthers front office should have read these forums before extending him after a 5 interception playoff game.

Jake Delhomme is a great No. 2 QB if you can get him to be a back up. There are a few teams with dinged QBs like the Patriots that could use him. Still he is a lot better than what a lot of teams have at starter...Dolphins, Redskins, Buffalo, Oakland the list goes on.

He's probably be a very serviceable #2 for most teams.
The funny part is that his deal was redone to help get Peppers under the cap last year. Now, guess what 2 players aren't on the Panthers anymore and they still owe Delhomme $12-$13M.

It was reported that Bengals.com was saying that the team was interested in T.O., but then it went on to basically say they were interested in every single free agent WR out there.

Can they still afford Peppers or are they going for broke this year?

Neil Hayes, of the Chicago Sun-Times, reports the Chicago Bears are close to signing unrestricted free-agent DE Julius Peppers (Panthers) to what is expected to be a six-year deal that would pay him around $12-$14 million a season with the first three years guaranteed, according to a source.

Thats a fat F'n contract! with 3 years guaranteed? Broke is exactly what they'll be. Peppers has the rep for taking plays off and not playing full games... imagine what he'd be like in his final contract with $36M in his pocket?

I don't understand this one...
Ravens get WR Boldin in trade with Cardinals
Quote:Baltimore obtained Boldin from the Arizona Cardinals on Friday for a third- and fourth-round pick in the 2010 draft. Baltimore also got a fifth-round pick from Arizona.
Weren't teams offering Round 1 picks last offseason?
