The third time is a charm for Pittsburgh Steelers’ linebacker James Harrison, and he received yet another fine from the NFL. This time the bill was for $20,000 for a late hit he delivered on New Orleans’ Saints quarterback Drew Brees in their week 8 contest.
Harrison’s total on the year, so far, has now reached a cool $100,000. His previous two offenses were a helmet-to-helmet hit he delivered on Cleveland Brown’s wide receiver Mohamed Massaquoi, which cost him $75,000, and week 2 hit he delivered to Titans’ quarterback Vince Young to the tune of $5,000.
Now Young has Randy Moss to hit him.
Just two days ago, Harrison met with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to discuss the league’s increased “attention” and the new policies regarding hitting other players. When asked how the meeting went with Goodell, Harrison described it as “semi-productive”.
What do you think of that meeting now, James?
