Ben Roethlisberger Accuser Will Meet With Investigators

Ben Roethlisberger South ParkToday’s update in the Ben Roethlisberger saga has a dimmer look for The Steelers franchise player. The Pittsburgh Tribune Review is reporting “Roethlisberger accuser is cooperating with investigation”  This new news signals the alleged victim is pressing forward with charges against Ben.

Earlier in the week it was reported that investigators no longer were seeking DNA from Roethlisberger. Some optimistic Steelers fans took this as a signal that this case was going away or Big Ben had paid off his accuser. Nothing could be further from the truth.

The only reason for investigators to request DNA would be to tie Roethlisberger to the alleged crime. Ben has already admitted contact with the 20-year-old student, therefore DNA is moot.

Making this even more of a mess is the reports that are surfacing from witnesses. Kelly Naqi from ESPN reported that one of the cops that serves as Roethlisberger’s bodyguards blocked the door while Ben was in the bathroom with his accuser.

Kelly Naqi also wrote: The manager of the club where Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger is accused of having sexually assaulted a 20-year-old Georgia woman said Thursday one of the woman’s friends told him a bodyguard of Roethlisberger’s had denied her entrance to the area leading to the bathroom where she believed the accuser and Roethlisberger were that night.

The accuser’s friend allegedly approached the club’s manager Rocky Duncan to gain access to the private bathroom. She told Duncan she was being blocked access to her friend in the bathroom with Roethlisberger and told him “I think my friend may be drunk.”

My question is what is a 20 year old doing in a club drunk? I would imagine club manager Rocky Duncan will be joining the ranks of the unemployed very soon.

“The 20-year-old student who accused Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger of sexually assaulting her will meet with investigators, according to one of her attorneys.

None of this bodes well for Ben Roethlisberger or The Steelers. Ben is expected to be in training camp on Monday
