It was reported on TMZ.com on Saturday that comedian Artie Lange was rushed to a New Jersey hospital for reasons that are yet unknown. In recent weeks Artie has been mysteriously absent from Howard Stern’s Radio show on Sirius XM Satellite radio.
The Howard Stern Show has been on Holiday Break since the conclusion of the show on Thursday December 17th, so updates on Artie’s mental and physical condition could not be broadcast. Even when the show was on the air in early December, Howard alluded to some issues, but still wasn’t forthcoming with any information.
The quote as published on TMZ from a representative is as follows:
“I can confirm that Artie is in the hospital. Artie has chosen to keep all information on this matter between him and his doctor. There will be no further comment.”
