Hacker group Anonymous is stately flatly that they are not responsible for the PlayStation Network outage. They even accuse Sony Corporation (ADR) (Public, NYSE:SNE) of being the source of PSN’s problems, and blaming hackers to hide their own incompetence.
In a YouTube video, the Anonymous rep accuses,
“A more likely explanation [for the outages] is that Sony is taking advantage of Anonymous’ previous ill-will towards the company to distract users from the fact that the outage is actually an internal problem with the company’s servers.”
