A very peculiar downloadable content is available for Gears of War 3, called “Weapon Skin Collection – Launch Collection”. Essentially, it unlocks every weapon skin available for the game. It doesn’t add any gameplay adventage, nor is it necessary in any other way. It’s purely cosmetic.
It also costs 3600 Microsoft Points, which is $45USD.
Worse yet, it’s a 172kb file, so not only are you paying for DLC that’s literally 75% the price of the actual game, but it’s already on disc.
One has to wonder who would be gullible enough to purchase DLC that literally adds nothing to the game save allow you to have a different colored gun. You can check out some of the guns here.
