The defending NFL champion New York Giants host the Dallas Cowboys at MetLife Stadium on Wednesday, Sept. 5. Many questions will be answered during this heated division match-up game. Although he has twice beaten Bill Bellichick’s New England Patriots in the Super Bowl some still question Eli Manning’s status as an elite Quarterback.
If you were to listen to Patroits fans, they would tell you Eli Manning is the luckiest QB on earth. New York Giants fans will tell you they got the better Manning brother. There is only one other Quarterback in history that has two Super Bowl rings courtesy of the New England patriots. Jim McMahon has one ring for defeating the Patriots in the ’85 Super Bowl with the Chicago Bears and one as Brett Farve’s backup in the ’97 Super Bowl.
The Dallas Cowboy’s are plagued with injuries. It is unclear if Tight End Jason Witten will suit up for the game. Wide Receivers Miles Austin and Dez Bryant are also on the injury report adding to Tony Romo’s troubles. In what could be a put up or shut up season for Romo, it will not help having his biggest weapon on the bench or not playing at 100%.
