The NFL has announced the offensive, defensive and special teams players of the week for week 4 of the 2012 season. None of these players are a surprise due to the performances their teams put out overall.
Putting up 52 points as a team pretty much guarantees one of your players will be on the list. Throwing three touchdowns and running in another does also. Therefore, Tom Brady was awarded his 21st AFC player of the week award… which ties him with Peyton Manning for first on the all-time list for this award.
Also guaranteeing that one of your squad wins the award, is shutting out your opponent. Such was the case when the Jets couldn’t muster up a single point against the Niners’ defense. Patrick Willis earned the nod,

Offensive: AAron Rodgers, QB, Green Bay Packers. 4 TDs, 319 passing yards.
Defensive: Patrick Willis, linebacker, San Francisco 49ers. 10 tackles, 1 INT
Special Teams: Greg Zuerlein, kicker, St. Louis Rams. 4 for 4 from 24, 48, 58 and 60 yards
