Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Jovan Belcher shot his girlfriend after an early morning argument today. Reports are that Jovan Belcher shot Kasandra Perkins multiple times, she died later at the hospital.
After the shooting it is reported Jovan Belcher then drove to the Kansas City Chiefs where he was confronted by confronted by team personnel, including GM Scott Pioli and head coach Romeo Crennel. Belcher thanked Crennel and Pioli for all they had done for him before ending his own life with a single shot as police arrived.
The celebrated Maine Black Bears standout was considered one of the best “small-school prospects” in the 2009 NFL.draft. Jovan Belcher signed with the Kansas City Chiefs as a free-agent after going undrafted.
