I’m sure you have been following the NHL lockout closely since it went into effect last Sunday. As the owners and the players battle it out, it’s looking like it may be a long, drawn-out battle until the teams reunite with the ice. But rest assured, we the fans can re-claim those game nights complete with edge-of-our-seats entertainment, lots of chili and of course, cocktails to match.
While the NHL and its players skip the ice in the early weeks of the pre-season, we think your drinks should too. Jim Beam has mixed up some delicious “sans-ice” drink ideas that unlike our favorite hockey teams, are best enjoyed without ice.

Preparation – Shake equal parts Red Stag by Jim Beam® Spiced Bourbon, JDK & Sons™ Crave Chocolate Cherry Liqueur and ½ & ½ and pour into a shot glass.

1.5 part Red Stag by Jim Beam® Spiced Bourbon
Hot Tea
Preparation – Build in a heat proof mug. Garnish with a lemon wedge.
