The NFL Offensive, Defensive and Special Teams Players of the Week for Week 14 of the 2009 NFL Season have been announced and are shown below. Ironically, the same thing happened in week 14 with member’s picks as did last week. A Special teamer was easier to pick than offense or defense. Nobody picked either of the offensive or defensive players of the week, but quite a few picked Eagles return man DeSean Jackson to earn the NFC’s top honor on special teams.
This week’s Nickent Golf NFL Players of the Week are:
NFC:
Offense: Frank Gore – Running Back – San Francisco 49ers
Defense: Brian Orakpo – Linebacker – Washington Redskins
Special Teams: DeSean Jackson – Return Man – Philadelphia Eagles
AFC
Offense: Brandon Marshall – Wide Receiver – Denver Broncos
Defense: Keith Bulluck – Linebacker – Tennessee Titans
Special Teams: Josh Cribbs – Return Man – Cleveland Browns
In case you haven’t entered the competition yet, members guess who they think will be named the offensive and defensive players of the week. If both of those players are named as the NFL players of the week for that specific week, the member is awarded a full set of Nickent Golf Clubs in a shiny new stand bag. See the lineup below. Please, PLEASE read the official rules for this part of the contest… especially the spelling part.
Just like last week, Drew Brees and Jared Allen were the most popular guesses. Jackson was the top vote getter on special teams. More than one member picked Brees and Allen on the same entry, so if multiple members win, only one can win the Nickent Golf set. That would suck.
To get in on the fun, visit the Beat the House main picks page, enter your picks for the week, then enter your guesses for the Nickent Players of the Week. It’s that simple. We’ve already given away hundreds of dollars in prizes!
