2012 Season Opening NFL Kickoff Game is Rescheduled

Posted by Steve Tomassetti On February - 29 - 2012 ADD COMMENTS

Per an official press release and announcement from NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell, the 2012 NFL season opener kickoff game will be moved to Wednesday, September 5th. In years past, the opener was on Thursday Night. The reason for the change is to not create a conflict with President Barack Obama’s Thursday night speech at the Democratic National Convention.

The only details we have regarding the opening game is that it will be the Super Bowl Champion New York Giants hosting a team to be determined. Kickoff is at 8:30pm EST with NBC’s pre-game coverage starting at 7:30.

Of course there have been plenty of politically-charged comments regarding the move ranging from semi-legitimate to blatantly racist. In all honesty… do you really caer that much? It is still an inconvenient weeknight. If you want my opinion, Sundays in the fall and winter are for football. To hell with Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Monday night football games. They can all be cancelled for all I care. Read the rest of this entry »

It’s hard to ready any sports publication, column or website these days without seeing at least someone mentioning New York Knicks guard Jeremy Lin. Anybody that has any kind of opinion on sports is partaking in the Jeremy Lin phenomenon. Just like Tim Tebow took over the second half of the 2011 NFL season with Tebow-mania, the latest craze is “Linsanity”.

Linsanity has reached every corner of New York and everyone seems to be getting excited… even the dancers at Rick’s Cabaret. That’s right, the girls from the favorite gentlemen’s club of the Howard Stern show staff have gone “Linsane”. Read the rest of this entry »

In a statement Friday, NASCAR said “The image of the Confederate flag is not something that should play an official role in our sport as we continue to reach out to new fans and make NASCAR more inclusive.” “The General Lee” has a Confederate Battle Flag on its roof. N.Y. Giants QB Eli Manning is Greater Than His Brother Peyton

Posted by Cletus P. Stillwater, Jr. On February - 8 - 2012 ADD COMMENTS

I don’t proclaim to be a math genius, but when I did all my years of learnin’ in the special classes at Yazoo Elementary, I finally figured out that two is greater than one. That is exactly what we have here. Eli Manning – 2, Peyton Manning – 1. It is simple math really.

I even know my percentages good too. One out of thirteen (7.7%) is much, much less than two out of 8 (25%). That’s right, Eli Manning wins the Super Bowl 25% of the time during his career. Tom Brady has won the title three times in his career of 10 active seasons (30%)… but 0% of the time when he plays against Eli Manning. Read the rest of this entry »

Super Bowl XLVI – Rick’s Cabaret Girls Pick the New York Giants (PICS)

Posted by Cletus P. Stillwater, Jr. On January - 31 - 2012 ADD COMMENTS

With only a few days left before the kickoff of Super Bowl 46, every so-called football expert is coming out of the woodwork to explain how or why the New England Patriots or New York Giants will win the big ame. Listening to the typical rantings of sports commentators is one thing, so here is little something different… we want to know which team the dancers at Rick’s Cabaret, the favorite gentlemen’s club of the Howard Stern Show staff, are picking.

I don’t think there is any bias involved with only asking the girls at the Rick’s in New York City who will win…
